In days of 10 and 11 May the caravan of Tour of Italy will touch the territories of Umbrian Valley and Valnerina. The initiative promoted by the Association GAL Valle Umbra and Sibillini forecast for the day May 10ththe setting up of GAL Village near the Giro’s hospitality area, limited to Plateatico Of Foligno.
From here the athletes, engaged in the time trial race with individual starts, will excite cycling lovers with staggered departures from 1pm to 4.30pm. A day of great competitive intensity, during which enthusiasts from all over Italy will also be able to come into contact with Umbria, with food and wine and with the many excellences of Green heart of Italy. A Photo exhibition it’s a intense program of tastings starting from 11.00 until 17.00will welcome the crowd of cyclists who will thus have the opportunity to discover the food and wine production of the area, in an equally competitive RIDE: the TOUR OF EXCELLENCES.

The idea of the “Giro delle Eccellenze” was born from the union between the sporting event and our food and wine champions. The GIRO DELLE ECCELLENCE initiative will then also touch the city of Spoleto on the day of May 11th. In Garibaldi Square departure is scheduled of the 8th stage of the Giro Spoleto Prati di Tivo.
