Clash on Sannio waters. Parking: management entrusted

“On Sannio Waters there is a negative opinion from the auditors, but it was kept hidden from the city councilors.” The opposition goes on the attack on the new water service company and asks for the intervention of Ministry of Economyof the Prefect and of Court of Auditors, recipients of a complaint regarding a “mystery”. This was revealed yesterday at a press conference at Palazzo Mosti by the representatives of the area led by Luigi Diego Perifano.

THE ACCUSATION

«This is a fact that denotes unprecedented institutional baseness – he denounced Francesco Farese – The city councilors were not informed that on the morning of the meeting of 8 April, when we were voting on our proposal to cancel the resolution of 20 July to join Sannio Acque, the Auditors filed a new opinion with which they invited ” not to follow up” on that resolution, thus overturning the favorable pronouncement they had expressed only four days earlier. A shell game was played by making fun of the city council, and we don’t believe it was a coincidence.”

The leader of Città Aperta Perifano is also very determined: «Macroscopic violations of the law that we highlight from the first moment. From the autumn of 2022 to today, eighteen months have passed without a spider’s escape. A gigantic demonstration of administrative ignorance, a procedural disaster that has caused serious damage to the community in terms of failure to find resources to be allocated to improving the service.” Detailed implications from the Democratic Party leader Floriana Fioretti: «In recent months, tens of millions have been allocated to other territories for the reconstruction of the networks or the infrastructure of the purification system, but Sannio has been left empty-handed because it continues to be without a managing body. Damages that citizens must blame on those who are managing the fundamental issue of water in a completely inadequate way.” Giovanna Megna of Civico22 summarized the long theory of the administrative steps implemented by the Samnite District of the EIC and by Palazzo Mosti, to conclude: «We denounced from the beginning that the choice of the mixed model, without an economic plan, would have been in the face of repeated rejections by the Court of Auditors. We have reported from time to time the sensational violations of the regulatory provisions, promptly detected by third-party control bodies. They have always accused us of engaging in political exploitation, but the facts prove us right.”

And on the subject of services, we note the choice of the winner of the first phase of the tender for the ten-year management of paid parking. A mega contract worth 10 million which went to Spoleto, home of AJ Mobilità whose proposal was found to be the most suitable according to the evaluation commission’s examination. The Umbrian company’s pole position was determined by its obtaining the maximum score (90 points) in terms of its technical offering, compared to only 79.25 points for its competitor Tmp from Portici. Trotta is already out of the running due to lack of requirements.
