To enter the Antica Farmacia, located at the crossroads between Via Nazionale and Via Duca d’Aosta in the historic centre, they used a stone. With it, last night, they broke down the entrance door, the only one that gives access to the commercial establishment while the others serve as display windows. Once inside they grabbed everything that was on the shelves and in the open displays, raiding everything that was stored there. The criminals’ plan was studied in detail and was also risky in its dynamics given that the pharmacy is located in a clearly visible area, due to its centrality, it goes both from Corso Mazzini and from Via Nazionale and Piazza Municipio. Therefore whoever acted was skillful and timely: if this were not the case he would have risked having the predatory action discovered. And whoever acted did so in the middle of the night when the city is sleeping. Certainly the noise may have been invasive but no one noticed or heard anything. This morning the owner of a nearby business noticed the break-in and raised the alarm.
The stolen goods are being quantified.
The local Tenenza police are working to identify the unknown perpetrators of the theft. It cannot be ruled out that viewing the video surveillance cameras located in the area could be of great help in the investigations of the military personnel. The stolen goods can easily be placed on the clandestine market. The unknown criminals will have acted thanks to this detail and this opportunity to sell the stolen products.
