Luca Zaia spoke about it with journalists today, announcing that he has made aid from the Veneto region available to the flooded areas. So far, dozens have died and Rio Grande do Sul is on its knees, the state’s production sector has been destroyed.
The words of the President of the Veneto Regional Council: “The great Rio do Sul was hit, where the official language of Veneto and where the official surnames are those of our Venetians, those we find in our Veneto. The names of the cities are those of our cities: the new Treviso, the new Montebelluna and all the names that take inspiration from our territories.”
