New Bat Hospital: a new hearing was held this morning on the progress of the works in the first regional commission chaired by Councilor Fabiano Amati. For Andria, the mayor Giovanna Bruno was present with the councilor for Urban Vision, Annamaria Curcuruto.
On this occasion, the General Director Tiziana Dimatteo and the RUP ing. Carlo Ieva confirmed that the new Clinical Management Plan is calibrated to a “Second Level Hospital with 400 beds”.
«All the previous disciplines are confirmed – explains the mayor Giovanna Bruno – the diagnostic instrumentation has increased, the operating rooms have been reduced (from 18 + 6 delivery rooms to 12 + 5 delivery rooms, for the logistical reasons already previously cited). Regarding the timing of the procedure, the ASL Bat, as the contracting authority – he added – has communicated that within 10 days it will proceed with the signing of the contractual appendix to the designers. From this formality, the 90 days that the Rup will impose will begin. In the meantime, to save time, ASL and Asset will work together in this phase to carry out contextual checks on project progress”.
Mayor Bruno reported the results of the monothematic municipal council, formally deposited the unanimously approved motion and questioned the subjects present point by point, in order to be able to report accordingly to the municipal meeting as per the precise mandate received.
However, it has recorded no progress on the issue of roads, on which Asset is stuck at the feasibility study carried out, having not received further tasks: for these reasons the mayor has undertaken to formalize a specific request to the President of the Region Michele Emiliano and to the Local Health Authority Bat.
Regarding the clear risk of overlapping the road network of the new hospital with the Southern Link project feared in the city council, the local health authority, the mayor and Asset have specified that the checks currently carried out, including with the Province, exclude risks of this kind.
The commission will be reconvened in the first week of August, barring unforeseen circumstances.
