TRENTO Appointment with history. For the team led by Francesco Baldini, thanks to the final tenth place in the group and the consequent access to the playoffs, tomorrow evening there will be a special match. In fact, at 8.30 pm, the gialloblù will face Francesco Modesto’s Atalanta Under 23, a team that finished fifth in the standings. In what is the first round of the playoffs, i.e. the post-season tournament during which the best teams in Serie C Now play for the Serie B entry. It will therefore be played tomorrow, Tuesday 7 May, at 8.30 pm at the Stadium by Caravaggio. The match will be a single match with two results in favor of the home team. In fact, to continue their seasonal journey, Trento will have to win within 90 minutes of the match. In the event of a draw, extra time will not be played but Atalanta Under 23 will advance to the next round. However the match goes, for the Trentino club, it is a historic achievement which confirms the continuous progress made in recent years. As far as statistical data is concerned, there is only one precedent between the two teams at the Nerazzurri’s home ground. This is the one this year and which saw the Lombards prevail 1-0. Long-term patients Sergiu Suciu and Leon Sipos will not be present for the match.

It was an important moment and one that further energized us for tomorrow’s challenge. For the match against Atalanta Under 23, we will have all the boys available. The group trained as best as possible in view of this important match. I’ve always said that this, for us, is like a ride on a carousel. Then we will be the ones who have to deserve a new lap or have to get off after tomorrow’s race. We are in the most important moment of the season and the fact that I can have everyone available allows me to make the best possible choices. To get through to the next round we will necessarily have to win: however, we must not be influenced by this aspect. We have to play as we always have, without putting pressure on ourselves.
