Thursday 9 Mayat 10, in the Council room of the Computer Science department of the University of Bari “Aldo Moro”will be held “Digital – Leverage for the future of Puglia”, conference to present the outputs of “Reskill to work”, the Meridia Consortium project for the inclusion of 300 young NEETs from Puglia in professional training courses.

Meridia Formazione is a consortium active for 25 years in the planning of socio-educational services, in the promotion of social enterprise start-ups and in the strengthening of professional skills. The association operates with training activities aimed at apprentices, the unemployed, young people, unemployed people, women and migrants to always offer qualified responses to the needs expressed by the participants. The Fund for the Digital Republic, on the other hand, is a non-profit organization born from a collaboration between the public and private sectors which, on an experimental basis, has allocated approximately 350 million euros for the years 2022-2026 with the aim of increase digital skills and develop the country’s digital transition.

The “Reskill to work” project was selected by the Fund for the Digital Republic – Social Enterprise led by Meridia Formazione and is intended for around 300 NEETs, i.e. those young people who do not study, do not work and do not attend training courses, for offer free courses in the fields of Digital Marketing, UX Design and Cyber ​​Security. The methodological approach was based on the development of skills and the person, with the aim of outplacement in the ICT (Information and Communication Technologies) field. The Talent Garden Innovation School provided the training, while the University of Bari will certify the skills acquired next June.

Taking part in the conference will be Alessandro Delli Noci, regional councilor for economic development, Professor Giuseppe Pirlo, scientific manager of the project, Marco Luisi from the institutional activities office of the Fund for the Digital Republic and Cinzia Gangale, manager of the training area of ​​the Meridia Consortium. Furthermore, three companies and three students who participated in the project will also take part in the event. The meeting will be moderated by journalist Rita Schena.
