There are those who can, and those who cannot. Indeed, there are those who couldn’t, and yet they can, if you look closely. This is what several motorists from Marsala thought yesterday, Sunday 5 May 2024, as they were looking for a place to park their car near the municipal stadium.
In the middle of the road, a car was parked calmly, as if nothing had happened. On the dashboard of the Jeep a sheet of paper folded in two, a useful notice for someone (perhaps the traffic police or the auxiliaries?): a sheet of headed paper from the Municipality of Marsala with the writing “Ass. Agate”.
The deduction that is made is that the Jeep, which does not have any sticker from the Municipality of Marsala, is available to the councilor Salvatore Agate and that someone, perhaps him, parked it in that way and with that “signal”. Why? While waiting for clarifications from the interested party and the Municipality, it is legitimate to ask who owns that car, why there was that writing, who it was addressed to, and above all whether it is legitimate for a councilor, or someone on his behalf, to clumsily use the the name of the Municipality to justify parking outside the stalls, or if the Municipality regulation perhaps allows those who boast the title of “Ass” to park where and how you want. And what do the police do?
Perhaps many people from Marsala could take the example and try: they too can park wherever they want, and then take a piece of paper with the Municipality’s header (they are easily found) and write the name of a councilor of their choice in pen… And see what happens .

Councilor Salvatore Agate contacted the editorial staff of TP24 to say that yesterday, Sunday 5 May, he was in the stadium area for reasons inherent to his role, and he used his own car, rather than that of the Municipality, so as not to disturb the ‘driver. He parked with other cars, entering his name on the sheet, in case there was a need to move it. Here is the complete reply.
