On the occasion of the 250th anniversary of the foundation of the Corps, which falls this year, the Provincial Command of Avellino has planned numerous initiatives that involve the entire province and are aimed at highlighting the anniversary and underlining the significant historical milestone achieved. A calendar full of events which includes not only celebrations, but above all dissemination events to raise awareness of all the activities of the Corps which are not only economic and financial police, but also support for the population.

The calendar will start on May 9th with the arrival in the capital of the glorious Fanfare of the Student Legion of the Guardia di Finanza which, from 09.30 am, in historical uniform, will pay homage to the citizens and students by marching in music along Corso Vittorio Emanuele Il , up to the Prefecture headquarters, where he will finish the performance by playing the Canto degli Italiani. The naming ceremony will then be held at the “S.Lt. Attilio Corrubia MOVM” barracks, headquarters of the Provincial Command of Avellino, in the presence of local civil, military and religious authorities and the participation of the Campania Regional Commander of the Guardia di Finanza. of the Conference Room to an illustrious citizen of Irpinia, Master Captain Antonio D’Elia, born on 26 August 1897 in Mirabella Eclano and died on 9 May 1958 in Rome, Director of the Band of the Guardia di Finanza for 25 years. The event will be concluded with a musical homage to the Maestro by the Corps Fanfare, with the performance of some works created by the same, including the ordinance marches, the “Financier’s Prayer” as well as the military march “Armi e Brio”.
