Last appointment of the Night Season in the main hall of the Teatro Sociale of Como: closing is the Como Conservatory which he brings to the stage Wednesday 8 May, at 8.30 pmL’OFCC – Como Conservatory Wind Orchestra.
The OFCC – Como Conservatory Wind Orchestra, directed by Pierangelo Gelmini and Fulvio Clementipresents an eclectic program that embraces different genres: from arrangements and transcriptions of nineteenth-century melodrama to transcriptions of the traditional symphonic repertoire, from original music for wind orchestra to film soundtracks up to jazz music.
Artistic expression is the ultimate goal of experiments and studies in different repertoires capable of pushing the performers, in this specific case the students, to discover the infinite sound possibilities of the Wind Orchestra. Creativity and musical imagination are the nourishment of cognitive and artistic thinking.
This production involves more than 70 students from different departments of the Conservatory: first of all the Department of Wind Instruments, then those of Singing, Strings, Percussion and Jazz, as well as the two-year course of Communication, Analysis and Music Criticism.
