SUCCESS, YESTERDAY, OF THE InCANTO EVENT ON THE STREETS OF SAN FRANCESCO
Three itineraries dedicated to the patron saint of Italy, Saint Francis of Assisi, and one to Roman Ancona and the Trajan port. This is the guided tour program developed by Municipality Tourism Service for spring 2024. All visits, led by professional tour guides, will take place on Saturday morning at 10:00.
Franciscan itineraries. The program falls within the scope of celebrations dedicated to the Patron Saint of Italy (2022-2026) and identifies a series of Doric sites and testimonies linked to the memory of the Saint. Including the Convent of San Francesco ad Alto, opened thanks to the availability of the Marche Army Military Command, the church of San Giovanni Battista di Capodimonte, opened extraordinarily on Saturday morning for the occasion thanks to the Dioceses, and the Diocesan Museum. Off we go next May 11th with a visit to the Guasco district (repeat on June 1st);
on 18 May and 8 June the guided tour moves to the Capodimonte district;
the visit entitled “from the port to San Francesco alle Scale” is scheduled for 25 May and 15 June.
Roman ancona. Finally, at the end of the programme, two visits to Roman Ancona are planned, on 22 and 29 June with specific attention to the recent works carried out in the area of the Trajan port.

Meanwhile, yesterday the event was a great success (see photo). In Song on the Way of Saint Francis– XI national edition – which involved various choirs in the historic center and hundreds of people walking from the S. Francesco quay, passing through 5 stages, up to San Francesco ad Alto (now the Military Command) where a unified choir concert was held .
