Industrial waste from the Sorrento Peninsula to Foggia: the Striscia la Notizia investigation reveals possible illicit trafficking
A real mystery surrounds the origin of large quantities of industrial waste found inside disused industrial warehouses in the countryside of Foggia. The shocking discovery was made during a report on Striscia la Notizia, broadcast in the other evening’s episode, which turned the spotlight on a possible illicit trafficking of waste from the renowned Sorrento Peninsula to Puglia.

The images broadcast by the well-known satirical program show piles of ecoballs stacked inside abandoned buildings. One detail, however, did not go unnoticed: on one of the canvas bags that wraps part of the waste, the writing “Piano di Sorrento” can clearly be read.

The hypothesis, put forward by the author of the report, is immediate that it is industrial waste from the Sorrento coast illegally disposed of in the Foggia area. The materials, in fact, would have been abandoned during the night inside the abandoned warehouses, taking advantage of the darkness to carry out the crime.
