BRINDISI – On Sunday 12 May 2024 the national Fiab Italia event “Bimbimbici” will take place in Brindisi as in numerous other Italian cities. The event which will take the form of a cheerful, safe ride along the city streets is aimed mainly at primary school children and lower secondary school children, but open to all citizens. An opportunity to ride together.
We will leave at 9 am in the Coast Guard area, we will go along the Regina Margherita seafront and crossing the interior of the naval station at the foot of the Castello Svevo we will reach the Cillarese Park to have a snack (which everyone will bring from home) made more pleasant from the many associations that together with Fiab will enliven the morning of celebration. Online registrations by filling out the form have already started in schools with the digital register formula. The first 250 registered children will receive a gift from the Coop.
The largest school will receive a souvenir prize from Fiab Brindisi, in recognition of the virtuous choice of sustainable mobility. A crew from the Brindisi Red Cross will accompany the participants. All comprehensive schools were invited.
In previous national editions, the event has received the patronage of Sip (Italian Society of Paediatrics), whose president has expressed himself underlining that
“going to school on foot or by bicycle contributes not only to making our cities more liveable, but also to promoting correct lifestyles, counteracting
sedentary lifestyle. Healthy lifestyles have greater benefits in adult life if they are adopted from childhood.” The Municipality of Brindisi granted patronage.
