VL relegated, the management does not raise the white flag: “Pesaro will return to A1, we have solid foundations, fans and youth sector”

PESARO – Victoria Libertas Pesaro didn’t spend even an hour to comment relegation. It was a written page, but it gives a lot of hope for the future. “We are a city that lives on basketball, we love this sport and we are proud of it. We kept hope alive until the last day, we didn’t give up even in the most difficult moments, we tried to recover with all possible efforts, we left no stone unturned, even beyond our possibilities” comments the managed club, for a few more weeks by Ario Costa. A company that has the real insurance for the future in the Consortium.

In commenting on the relegation, the management tries to lighten the bitter pill by talking about last season’s play-offs, the Italian Cup final and the many salvations “achieved in unfavorable conditions and against all odds”.

Like the fans, who however followed the word drama with an insult to the management, the owners erase it by recalling that “Pesaro is sportingly mature and cultured because it has experienced triumphs and relegations, like that of 1974, with the return to the series A in 1978; or that of 1998, with the acquisition of the rights of Gorizia in 1999. It experienced the bankruptcy of 2005 and started again from series B, returning to series A1 in 2007, a category which we were able to defend for 16 consecutive years, years in which almost many historic Italian clubs have had to experience a painful moment like our current one.”

And therefore we can start again knowing that the Consortium and sponsors will be a guarantee. “And then there are the fans who push us to honor the history and tradition of this club in the best possible way. As well as our youth sector. Behind every difficulty, there are also opportunities that we cannot and do not want to miss, driven by the determination to get back to A1 as soon as possible and return to enjoying, all together, great satisfaction” conclude Costa and company.
