Crotone – Many people this morning, when we went to the Naval League of Crotone, pointed to the photos that best represent their childhood, which contain memories, suggestions, lost customs. This is the intent of the exhibition “When we were children”promoted by the Association Krotographywith an exhibition that takes the visitor back in time.
Yes, until you remember your mother’s slipper, the strummo, the game of hopscotch, Tex, the music of Michael Jackson and Queen in the 80s, up to the inimitable Invicta which marked an era.
There is each of us in those photos: not only the habits and customs of the past, in front of the television watching Bim Bum Bam, but there are also the current generations, lending themselves to taking photos of the 29 members of Krotographyin a particular lesson on what was once done.
The paintings on display are available until June 2nd at the Naval League of Crotone. There is the descent of the Castle, the games in the Fondo Gesù neighbourhood, the marbles on the sand, the vinyls of the Disco Bambina and Happy Days acronyms, the Postal Market which sparked the most forbidden fantasies of the kids of the 80s and 90s, and Lego. Up to the inevitable bread, oil and sugar replaced today by the most diverse snacks.
«Everyone reconstructed their own scene, starting in January and finishing a few days ago», he told us this morning Fabrizio Carbone Of Krotography, who we met right near the stairs of the Naval League. «These are games that are no longer made, a world that has been overtaken by technology“, has continued.
But beyond the past, the games at home, the records, we focused with Fabrizio on photography, on the art of taking photographs with a camera. Essentially, it has never gone out of fashion and attracts new generations: «In the exhibition there are two boys aged eleven and thirteen. But then we have a fourteen year old girl who didn’t participate in the exhibition but is an integral part of the group. We have also held courses in middle schools, and I can say that they are passionate about the camera, the telephone and photography».
Yes, the exhibition hit the “goal”, taking us all back in time a little, with those sprouts of hope planted for future generations.
