Europeans, Grassini and Corsetti run for Forza Italia: “Europe needs more Tuscanness”

“A bit of Tuscanness needs to be brought to Europe. We need to get this region into Parliament. We are a territory that thrives on particular resources: there is not only industry, but we also have tourism which must be encouraged and qualified. And today that is not the case.”

This was said by Lorenzo Grassini, an entrepreneur from Colle and candidate for Forza Italia for the next European elections. Grassini presented his electoral campaign in the city together with Valentina Corsetti, head of the disability consultancy in Grosseto and provincial coordinator of Azzurro donna in the Maremma area.

“The EU – added the candidate, who is running as an independent – needs an entrepreneurial spirit that can turn the political situation around. Today the Union is seen as an elephant cemetery where politicians spend the winter before finishing their careers. It doesn’t have to be like this: 90% of the laws created and implemented for individual states will be decided in Brussels. We need people with vision”

Forza Italia “is the only major Italian party within the EPP – said Corsetti –. We rely on a political force that is based on family and community values. We have always been pro-Europeans. Antonio Tajani provides thirty years of experience in the European Parliament and it is the best CV anyone can have at the moment.” Corsetti continues: “We need greater united actions, such as better European defence, we want to strengthen the healthcare system and invest in energy and infrastructure”
