The Weave Innovation Camp 2024 returns to Melpignano, with hundreds of students from all over Puglia

MELPIGNANO – For the second consecutive year the Municipality of Melpignanoin collaboration with Weave (a company active in the Talent management sector) and JA Italia Ets organizes the Weave innovation camp 2024, a day full of initiatives dedicated to entrepreneurship and the Stem approach (the approach that integrates scientific subjects with those that are not), to talk about Puglia and its opportunities.

The Melpignano center will host 700 students from all over Puglia who will animate the spaces of the Marchesale Palace, the Ex-Tobacconist and the Peace Park with a large arena for the finals, a fair space reserved for the 44 mini-companies competing with a space dedicated to the Apulian ITS and 4 spaces equipped for the preliminary panels and the planned training moments. The event will be streamed on Weave’s social channels, with guest interviews by Matilde De Razza.

Monday 6 MayWIC2024 will host the territorial competitions of “Enterprise in action” which is part of the Entrepreneurship Championships of which JA Italia Ets is the leader, in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and Merit, to select the winners of the Puglia region who will directly access the Entrepreneurship Championships to be held in Parma.

In the afternoon there will be space for “Innovate to stay”, the Stem path of the “Salvatore Trinchese” school institute in Martano led by Alieta Sciolti, which will see its final phase. In the morning, an award will also be given to the winning team of the last edition of Innovare to stay, iTeener, awarded on 29 April 2024 in Brussels at the headquarters of the European Commission as the winner of DigiEduHack2023, beating 220 projects from all over Europe. The boys were supported in this adventure not only by the school, but also by the Galattica Node of Melpignano.

Speakers will include, in addition to the mayor of Melpignano Valentina Avantaggiato; the president of Grecìa Salentina Roberto Casaluci; the national president of JA Italia Antonio Perdichizzi; the President of Confindustria Lecce Valentino Nicolì; the regional councilor for youth policies and productive activities Alessandro Delli Noci.
