VIDEO In Como, the distressing car park, the appeal: “Drug dealers, beatings. Mayor, we are afraid to go out. We are alone”

Incomprehensibly closed for years (here is our story from 2020), the municipal underground car park in via Aldo Moro has finally become available again and is intended for residents (i.e. yellow places: here are the news). All very well, really. Then comes the resident’s story, with video.

Good evening, I wanted to report a situation which, if not absurd, is at least too unclear relating to the new underground car parks in via Aldo Moro. For me and my wife, it seemed like a solution to the problem of parking, fees and, above all, safety, but it all seems damn absurd to us. I explained everything in the two videos I am sending you. Thank you.

And so here are the very precise videos (we have combined them for everyone’s convenience) sent by the reader to ComoZero [Per contributi, segnalazioni, reazioni e opinioni: [email protected], il numero Whatsapp 348.6707422 o la pagina dei contatti]:

Then another consideration/story:

Yesterday I called the police for scuffles in Piazza della Tessitrice. They told me they would send a patrol. Instead, the traffic police arrived to issue fines. I ask the mayor to help us, because we are afraid to go out. Like ComoZero, I would like you to talk about a “very high danger area” not only of Via Anzani (all the news here, Ed.) but also of Piazza della Tessitrice and the Ippocastano car park. We are just a few hundred meters away…

I would like to underline that the kids who deal or who fight each other in Piazza della Tessitrice are just poor Christs: the tip of the iceberg of a much deeper problem that cannot be solved by spreading it to other places. But the current mayor and the people don’t seem to care… However, we are no longer able to live peacefully. In the evening, when I go out with my dog, I go out without my wallet and without my phone. Can it be done in a civil society? Is it possible in Como, in the “efficient”, “productive”, “locomotive of Italy” called Lombardy?
Thank you for listening.

Ps: my wife and I have never been silent. Neither with our acquaintances nor with others. Our criticism is made only to improve our city, not for any other purpose. Result: we are alone. As long as we have the strength, we will not stop: it is for our children, for everyone’s children, white or black or from the South or the North. They are always children…
