SThere are over 60 boats registered for the third zonal sailing stage in the OPTIMIST FIV – VIII Zone category, which will take place in Manfredonia at the Il Mandracchio Nautical Sports Center in Manfredonia on Sunday 5 May 2024. Organization by the Gargano Sailing Club sailing school, between the first hundred in Italy. The meeting is scheduled for 08.30 at the nautical base which has the Castle and the white lighthouse of the eastern pier of Manfredonia as its backdrop, the departure at around 09.30. The marine weather forecasts will set the times.
A great event in the heart of the Manfredonia marina which, with Gargano Sailing, revitalizes sailing in the Gargano. The swarm of sails can be admired from the nearby Piazza Maestri d’Ascia or from the little market square. The awards ceremony at the end of the tests, around 4.00 pm. An inspiring event for young sailors the spotlight on the issue of violence against women, amplifying the very important work carried out by the CAV (Anti-Violence Centre) of Manfredonia.
