Rome, 4 May. (Adnkronos) – The press conference of Axa Italia and the Una Nella Centomila Foundation was held today in Verona, as part of the ‘Una Quale Centomila in Arena’ event of which Axa Italia is the main partner, for the presentation of a national project to raise awareness of the fight against gender violence, dedicated to boys and girls in lower secondary schools. The conference, moderated by the artist Andrea Delogu, saw the participation, among others, of the CEO of AXA Italia Chiara Soldano, the Chief Customer and External Communication Officer Letizia D’Abbondanza and the President of the UnaNessun Centomila Foundation, Giulia Minoli. Also present was Fiorella Mannoia, Honorary President of the Foundation and Artistic Director of the concert.

At the heart of the project, dedicated to 20 institutes distributed throughout the national territory, is a path focused on the role of art as a language capable of opening a reflection on issues connected to the concept of gender violence, including existing stereotypes, and which can stimulate emotional storytelling, critical thinking and relationship management. Among the tools proposed to the schools that will join the initiative, the use and enjoyment of a cultural tool (film, theater show, poem, comic, song or video game), followed by a horizontal moment of discussion and dialogue, in which they will take including specialized trainers, workers from anti-violence centres, representatives of the Una Quale Centomila Foundation, and also artists.

Being alongside women, with a view to prevention and protection from risks, is at the center of the long-term commitments of Axa Italia, which has chosen to embrace the ‘Una Nobody Centomila in Arena’ event as main partner and which in time has given rise to concrete and distinctive initiatives in Italy, such as Spazio Donna alongside WeWorld Onlus for women victims of violence and social exclusion or Angels For Women, a network of Business Angels with a female majority to provide concrete support to future women entrepreneurs. Axa Italia has also dedicated its latest campaign to women, ‘Being a woman should not be a risk’, a large open window on daily life situations and scenes from different parts of the world which illustrate different types of problems and vulnerabilities to which women women are exposed daily throughout their lives.

Axa Italia has chosen to look even further, through support for the project for schools, focusing on the fundamental role of awareness and education to try to encourage positive change in society on fundamental issues both from an ethical, economic and social point of view , such as inclusion, female empowerment and the fight against violence against women. All of this, in the awareness that the future must also be built through dialogue and open discussion with the young generations on crucial topics for their lives and for society, inviting them and accompanying them in reflecting on the ability to fight, together, for a tomorrow different, better.

For Chiara Soldano, CEO of the Axa insurance group, “sustainability, understood in all its aspects, not only environmental but also social, is one of the pillars of Axa Italia’s strategic plan, confirming how central it is for us. And This is the spirit that drove us, with great enthusiasm, to embrace this initiative. We will continue to engage in concrete actions to help women realize their life plans and ambitions. But we want to go further, and the project presented today arises from the awareness that on crucial issues such as gender violence, the contribution of the entire society is fundamental, starting from the young generations. We want to speak to girls and boys, open a dialogue with them, to build a tomorrow together truly inclusive”. Adds Letizia D’Abbondanza, Chief Customer & External Communication Officer of the Axa Italia insurance group: “We are proud to present a project focused on a distinctive format, the use of the language of art to open a discussion on the issues of gender violence and more generally about inclusion, and which we wanted to dedicate to a specific age group, pre-adolescence, a particularly complex moment in life, but also crucial for growth and self-awareness, which is also absolutely consistent with our commitments in our latest campaign, “Being a woman should not be a risk”, we continue to bring a message of optimism, looking in particular to the new generations, which pushes us to reflect on the ability to fight together, men and women, for a different future, improve”.

Finally, for Giulia Minoli, president of the Una Nuovi Centomila Foundation: “the Una Nuovi Centomila Foundation believes strongly in affective education as a prevention tool against violence against women. For this reason we have decided, during this first year of activity , to activate projects within Italian schools. We are convinced that taking care of pre-adolescents, a fragile and increasingly complex age group, and offering not only them, but also their teachers, new tools, is essential to help them. to the needs of increasingly lost boys and girls, especially in their relationship with their own bodies and sexuality. Too often they turn to the web to look for answers and more often than not the answers they find here are the wrong ones, as clearly emerges from the data on online pornography. The school and the help of our trainers can accompany them on a useful path to avoid falling victim to dangerous situations and harmful messages. For this reason we are extremely happy that Axa wanted to support a project that goes in this direction, which uses resources dear to us such as culture, art, cinema, music, audiovisual and writing to get closer to young people without frontally, but through artistic workshops that place us next to them to try to take care of the discomfort and discomfort that sometimes they can’t even verbalize. We hope that this is the beginning of a long profitable path of activities in the territories and to do this we have drawn up a first list that includes various Italian cities, different environmental contexts, different institutes united by the intention of reaching out to young people and their needs”.
