Local public transport, the strike scheduled for Monday 6 May suspended in Latina. The Municipality has just announced it. «The councilor Gianluca Di Cocco, with responsibility for Transport, was an active part of the agreement, signed yesterday, which effectively suspended the strike of workers of the local public transport service proclaimed for 6 May 2024, for the duration of 24 hours” we read in a note.

The solution arrived following a negotiation between the Municipality of Latina, the TPL service manager, Csc Mobilità, and the Faisa Cisal union.
«With the favorable opinion of the Lawyer’s Office – explained councilor Di Cocco – as a Municipality we have committed ourselves to deciding as soon as possible on the disbursement by the Institution of the regional contribution due to the company Csc Mobilità. This will allow it, after months of incessant office work, to close a situation that has been dragging on for years. With the signed agreement, Csc Mobilità is committed to the recovery of meal vouchers not yet paid since the beginning of the year, taking into consideration the observations of the trade union organization regarding the sharing of new certified journeys with the organization and ‘identification of the necessary changes to the exercise’.

Faisa Cisal, in light of the commitments undertaken by the company and awaiting the approval of the municipal resolution, has therefore suspended the 24-hour strike proclaimed for Monday. The agreement was signed not only by councilor Di Cocco representing the Municipality, but also by Francesco Maria Petrassi and Stefano Ceccarelli on behalf of Csc Mobilità and by Renzo Coppini, Nicodemo Ientile and Roberto Mustacchio on behalf of the trade union organisation.
