Foggia, minor arrested for resisting a public official

The State Police arrested a seventeen-year-old young man in relation to crimes of violence, resistance and injury to a public official, as well as reported for the unjustified possession of a knife, screwdrivers and two masks depicting human faces.

In particular, the agents of the Railway Police Section of Foggia, as part of specific services aimed at preventing and combating crimes against travellers, monitored the boy while he was standing near a station platform and, immediately appearing not to be cooperative with the policemen’s requests, he was searched, despite the fact that he attacked them with pushes and scratches, causing injuries.

Following the search, the minor was found in possession of a sharp knife which he hid in his trouser pockets, two screwdrivers and two large rubber masks depicting human faces, which he instead hid inside his backpack. All objects were seized.

Following the ritual formalities, the young man was associated with the Penitentiary Institute for Minors in Bari, at the disposal of the competent Judicial Authority.

The proceeding is pending in the preliminary investigation phase;

It should be noted that the position of the person involved in the aforementioned police operations is being examined by the Judicial Authority and that he/she cannot be considered guilty until a final conviction has been pronounced.
