Lexus UX has received several improvements with the 2024 Model Year. The new features were announced at the beginning of January and, now, the Japanese crossover can be ordered in Italy.
The new Model Year does not introduce any particular changes to the design. The car manufacturer limited itself to introducing the new Sonic Copper color, available on all versions of the model. Overall, there are 12 colors available for the Lexus UX 2024, including with a contrasting black roof.
We find a few more changes inside the passenger compartment. Lexus offers optional extras a new 12.3-inch display for digital instruments which can be customized in the graphics. Even infotainment with 8-12.3 inch touch screen (depending on version) has been updated.
NEW UX 300H
Lexus UX 250h Premium Hybrid is replaced by the new UX 300h version. The powertrain layout does not change and therefore we find a 2-liter inline four-cylinder engine combined with two electric motors (model with all-wheel drive). Overall, there are available 199 HP/146 kW (184 hp/135 kW in the UX 250h).
In models equipped with the E-Four all-wheel drive system, there is a new motor on the rear axle with a power of 30 kW (versus 5.3 kW previously) and a torque of 84 Nm (versus 55 Nm). The new features also include a new lithium-ion battery in place of the previous nickel-metal hydride unit and a redesign of the inverter.
Speaking of performance, theacceleration from 0 to 100 km/h it takes 7.9 seconds (8.1 seconds for the model with front-wheel drive only). Consumption: 5.0 – 5.2 l/100 km for the front-wheel drive model and 5.3 – 5.7 l/100 km for the all-wheel drive model in the WLTP combined cycle. Emissions equal to 113 – 119 g/km of CO2 and 121 – 128 g/km of CO2 respectively.
On the security front, we find the latest evolution of Lexus Safety System+. Proactive Driving Assist uses the car’s front camera to detect hazards during low-speed city driving, such as parked cars, cyclists and pedestrians walking along the edge of the road or preparing to cross. In the event of a risk of collision, the system intervenes by braking and steering to help avoid the obstacle, keeping the car in its lane.
The Driver Monitor uses a camera mounted above the steering wheel that keeps a constant check on the driver’s condition. If it detects a loss of concentration due to tiredness or feeling unwell, the system activates visual and audible warnings. If the driver does not react, the car will make a controlled stop with the emergency lights activated (Emergency Driving Stop).
Other ADAS systems include the Pre-collision System, Lane Tracing Assist, Road Sign Assist, Intersection Turning Assist and Emergency Assist.
PRICES
New Lexus UX 300h 2024 can be had in the Urban, F-Design, F-Sport and Luxury trim levels. THE prices list prices are between 43,500 euros and 58,000 euros.
The front-wheel drive UX 300e Full Electric model which was updated in 2023 with a battery with a capacity of 72.8 kWh, starts at 58,000 euros.
