A home parquet where, in order, Taviano, which will take part in the playoffs, and the battleships Gioia and Marigliano fell, while the strong Galatone lost a point to the red and whites. The only three-point defeat, at home, was at the hands of Grottaglie, a team that tore through the group, deserving first place and the triangular promotion playoff.
To greet the season of Indeco Molfetta, at the PalaPoli, arrives Afragola, a Campanian team already relegated to the next Campania B series, however a team to pay attention to given the presence of the strong Campanian opposite Fabio Di Florio and the winger Simmaco Tartaglione, a past talented Lube school, followed by 7 seasons between A2 and A3. Twelve points in the standings, the result of 3 victories and 19 knockouts, is the score of Afragola who, last week, took a point away from vice-leaders Taviano.
“Clear demonstration of the championship we have faced: there has never been an easy match, even the last ones in the class boast important players for the category and have taken points away from the big names in the championship – the analysis by Luca Lorusso, red and white spiker – We did always the best, as demonstrated by the big home matches brought home with the best results, there were some defeats, even against some teams less equipped than us, but in the midst of fighting for survival and chasing vital points certainly a very tough championship, with important and top-level teams, we had fun and gave satisfaction to our fans, which is why we want to give them one last smile, before the last race in Turi, where I hope they will follow us to finish. The red and whites will challenge Afragola, at the PalaPoli, on Saturday 4 May. All matches will take place at the same time, despite the playoff and relegation verdicts having already been issued from the field. The starting whistle is set for 6pm, with free entry. The match will be refereed by Mario Chiechi and Michele Fumarola.
