Descriptive text here

First knockout of the season for San Marino Baseball, which falls in game 1 in Serravalle against BBC Grosseto 0-4. The match, led by the guests from the second inning, saw the Titans hitting fewer hits than their opponents and making some errors in defence. In the batter’s box 3/3 for Celli and 3/4 for Batista. Carbo winning pitcher, Quevedo losing.
The first pitch of the game was thrown by Joe Mazzuca and was received at home plate by Simone Albanese. A beautiful moment of amarcord, a way to dive back into the recent history of San Marino’s hit and run.
THE MATCH. After a first inning with hits for both teams, Grosseto moves to 2nd with Garcia’s home run. In the bottom part of the same second half San Marino left two on base and at the change of pitch the BBC took advantage of the opportunity to extend the lead. Tomsjansen hits the hit to the left and, on Piccini’s hit bunt, the defense makes an error that allows the runner on first to get home for the double. On Martini’s single the gap widens further (0-3), with San Marino struggling from here on in attack to be effective on Carbo’s pitches.
In the 5th, with Baez having just gone up the mound in place of Quevedo, a base ball on Vaglio, a wild pitch and another hit by Tomsjansen allow the Tuscan team to score the fourth point (0-4).
The San Marino attack, after ending up in a double play with two basemen in the 3rd, reaches second base a couple of times (in the 4th and 7th), but does not score. BBC Grosseto wins game 1 4-0.
