On June 28th Riccardo Muti will be in Lucca, on the prestigious stage set up at the Historic Walls, to conduct a unique concert dedicated to Giacomo Puccini, in the year of the Puccini Celebrations. The event will be broadcast live worldwide.
The announcement was made by the Undersecretary of State for Culture Gianmarco Mazzi and the Mayor of Lucca Mario Pardini, who is entrusted with the task of supervising the project. The Concert is organized by the Promoting Committee of the Puccinian Celebrations, established by the Presidency of the Council in 2022, in participation with the Municipality of Lucca and the Teatro del Giglio and the collaboration of the LuccaSummerFestival and D’Alessandro e Galli.
Maestro Riccardo Muti will celebrate the genius of Giacomo Puccini, an Italian composer loved throughout the world, by conducting the “Cherubini” Orchestra formed exceptionally, on the occasion of the twentieth anniversary of its foundation, by 130 musicians who will accompany the performances of the opera singers.
