Yesterday, the State Police of Arezzo intercepted and arrested two drug dealers who were traveling along the Autostrada del Sole, heading towards northern Italy. It was just after 4pm when a Battifolle Highway patrol, during the usual patrol, intercepted an Audi A3 in the middle of the traffic snake that had formed on the Arezzo section of the A1. The occupants, two thirty-year-olds living in the Brescia area with numerous police records relating to drugs, did not convince the investigators, who had asked the reasons for their trip. In fact, they seemed like everything, except holidaymakers who had taken advantage of the first spring break to take a trip out of town.
The police then proceeded with the search, which allowed them to find, hidden in the clothing, including intimate clothing, of the two, a veritable sample of drugs: 80 ecstasy tablets, 36 grams of hashish, 17 grams of cocaine and 33 wrappers of ketamine, already divided into single doses ready for dealing. In addition to this goodness, with a retail value of over 7,000 euros, the two had also hidden 1,000 euros in small denomination banknotes, evidently proceeds from the doses already placed on the market. They were then arrested and placed in prison at the disposal of the Judicial Authority, while the drugs, money and car were seized for subsequent confiscation. Intensive investigations are underway to understand which drug dealing place the two had already turned to and which other place they were destined for.
