56 new easy digital points will soon be created in Tuscany which will be managed by third sector bodies. This is the outcome of the public tender which completed its process in recent days with the publication of the ranking.
The network of “Easy Digital Points” will thus be completed by 2025, physical access points that provide citizens with digital skills training, both in person and online, in order to promote social inclusion.

The project, financed under the Pnrr with over 7 million euros, involved the opening of a network of 169 centers in Tuscany. Currently, over 100 are already in operation, and the network of 113 financed with the first tender aimed at local authorities will soon be completed.
To arrive at the expected quota, the ranking of the second tender, the one aimed at third sector bodies, will therefore take place. In the next few days, the Tuscany Region will call, based on the order of the ranking, the ETS admitted (63 in total) to define the individual projects and the related agreements. With the funds provided by this announcement it will be possible to open 56 PDFs, for each of which expenses up to a maximum of 30,000 Euros will be reimbursed as well as IT equipment for a value of approximately 8,000 Euros.

The regional councilor for digital infrastructures and relations with local authorities highlighted the great support of the Tuscan third sector world for this proposal. A membership that will allow us to complete the construction of a network of centers thanks to which it will be possible to reduce the digital divide which particularly affects the most fragile strata of our society. In this way it will also be possible to reduce the distance between the public administration and the citizen, bringing significant simplifications to daily life.

In all “Easy digital points” it will be possible to activate the electronic identity card, access regional digital health services, starting from the health card, book tests and services through the Single Booking Center (Cup), but it will also be possible to book appointments at the Police Headquarters to request or renew your passport.
The services that will be possible also include school digital services, payments to public administrations (through PagoPa) and other services connected to one’s digital identity, such as the Spid (the public digital identity system), the Cns (National Charter of services) and the Cie (Electronic Identity Card).
It will therefore be an important help especially for the elderly, the frail or in any case for those who are not very familiar with digital and technology.

NOTE. The press release was drafted in an impersonal form in compliance with the provisions on equal conditions adopted with the calling of the electoral rallies for the European and administrative elections of 8 and 9 June 2024.
