It goes on stage from today – Friday 3 – to Sunday 5 May racing weekend in Estoril, Portugalsecond stage of FIM JuniorGP, orthe youth motorcycling world championship which is practically the antechamber to Moto3. Drivers and technicians have already been present on the track for a few days for a series of tests

Also on the starting grid are two drivers from our area, Alessandro Morosi and Leonardo Abruzzo. The first, originally from Arsago Sepriois more experienced (19 years old) and in the inaugural stage in Misano he achieved an excellent podium with a second place in Race 1. The second, 17 years old, is from Castellanza and it’s making his debut in the championship and approaches the Portuguese track with the aim of get the first points.

Abruzzo, vice-champion of Italy in Moto3 at just 16 years old, he competes with the Fano MTA team (who also competes in the Moto3 world championship) and at Misano he came close to scoring twice, finishing 18th and 16th in the two races held in Romagna. The goal is therefore to move up a few steps to bring his number 25 KTM firmly in the top 15 and start the journey even in a very selective category like the current one.

After the tests of the past few days, the program includes free practice on Friday with a final session on Saturday morning; the two qualifying rounds on Saturday afternoon while Sunday at 1pm local time (midday in Italy) la race over a distance of 16 laps.
