Police checks in Santa Maria a Novella station area in Florence. Yesterday late in the evening, the police officers, assigned by the Police Commissioner Maurizio Auriemma to this specific area, a 19-year-old of Senegalese origin was caught carrying 50 doses of crack.
The subsequent analyses, carried out in the laboratories of the Florentine Scientific Police, immediately revealed the nature of the seized substance: the dangerous cheap drug, obtained through chemical processes, whose effects, once taken, in addition to creating a strong addiction in the consumer , can be potentially devastating.
According to what has been reconstructed, the young man would have attracted the attention of the police while he was standing on the steps of the station: upon seeing the police car he would have walked quickly towards the nearby tram stop, where he would have been stopped a few moments later by the officers. The policemen would have immediately noticed something anomalous near the cuff of his trousers, specifically in one of his high shoes from which, during the check, he was a voluminous transparent bag emerged with the narcotic inside ready, based on the investigative hypothesis, to be sold on the streets. The young man then ended up in handcuffs on charges of possession for the purpose of trafficking of narcotic substances.
Still on the topic of combating drug dealing, yesterday morning, the police arrested a 26-year-old Nigerian citizen, surprised at sell eight doses of heroin in Viale dei Mille to another foreign citizen in exchange for 140 euros in cash. The 26-year-old was later found with another 11 doses of the same drug on him, hidden in a sock. The latter, as ordered by the Public Prosecutor’s Office at the Court of Florence, will also appear today before the Judge for the validation of the precautionary measure.
