Marco Brugo Ceriotti is the new President of the Agri-Food Commission of Confindustria Piemonte. Born in Gattinara in 1988, he is a fourth generation entrepreneur in the rice sector, Brugo Ceriotti takes over Franco Biraghi and will guide for the next two years the Commission created in 2017 with the aim of representing the agro-industry sector of the Piedmont Confindustria system in a unified and coordinated way. They belong to the Commission over 330 companies for a total of approximately 18,000 employees.

“First of all, thanks to Franco Biraghi who preceded me in recent years. Like him, I am a fervent supporter of teamwork and constructive discussion. My mandate aims to focus on some main themes: technological innovation, sustainability, culture, training and defense of Made in Italy. All with an eye on the main strategic supply chains which are rice, milk, meat and wine” declares Ceriotti who since 2021 is also president of the Young Entrepreneurs Group of Confindustria Novara Vercelli Valsesia. “Equally central will be the energy transition towards renewables and the optimization of water resources. Topics that we will be able to address by participating in lobbying work through the channels created in Brussels by Confindustria Piemonte to bring proposals and critical issues to the discussion tables – points out – but we also intend to strengthen the dialogue with national institutions to coordinate, together with all the players in the agri-food chain, strategies that increase the resilience and potential of the sector”.

The other members of the Commission representing the eight Piedmontese territorial associations are: Pia Bosca (Industrial Union of Asti); Andrea Bonino (Biellese Industrial Union); Simone Peila (Confindustria Canavese); Chiara Bardini, Paola Lanzavecchia And Nadia Marchisio (Confindustria Cuneo); Fabio Leonardi (Confindustria Novara Vercelli Valsesia); Simona Radicci And Mario Fanteguzzi (Turin Industrial Union); Matteo Cavagnino (Verbano Cusio Ossola Industrial Union).
