There are days that cannot be forgotten, like that 26th July 15 years ago – it was 2009 – when Max Biaggi took the first victory for the Aprilia RSV4 in the Superbike world championship on the Brno circuit. The beginning of a long history that has led the Noale company to the conquest of 7 world titles (3 Drivers and 4 Manufacturers), 44 victories and 102 podiums in the series-derived championship. Who ever forgets it?

Winning livery and lots of carbon for Tuono and RSV4 Factory

Carbon and progressive numbering

Certainly not Aprilia, which actually launched two special series to celebrate that historic day with the same livery as back then. They are the top models of the V4 range, the supersport RSV4 Factory, faired, and the hypernaked Tuono V4 Factory, “naked”. Two different ways of interpreting the same wickedness, the same extremely high technological level, the same sporting soul.

They are equipped as standard with carbon front brake air intakes and the front mudguard also in carbon, and on the fuel tank they bear the progressive numbering of the model. As in the days of that famous Czech Republic Grand Prix, the livery is black-based with the characteristic red and white profiles on the front fairing, tip, tank and tail.

On sale from June

For the rest, the two models are identical to the standard versions, from which they are distinguished by the addition of the SE-09 SBK acronym which identifies them. Both will be available starting from June at all Aprilia dealers, the RSV4 Factory SE-09 SBK at the price of 26,499 euros fc and the Tuono V4 Factory SE-09 SBK at the price of 20,499 euros fc

However, they have already made their debut in the club: they were introduced by Maverick Viñales and Aleix Espargaró at the official presentation which took place during the MotoGP Grand Prix of the Americas weekend in Austin, Texas. The one in which then Viñales caused a stir by taking the RS-GP to victory both in the Sprint and long races. There couldn’t have been a better occasion for the launch of two super sports bikes!
