Lucca, in four months 14 urban Daspo Il Tirreno

LUCCA. The police commissioner of Lucca Edgardo Giobbi, through the Anti-Crime Unit, is giving a strong boost to the tool of prevention measures, the adoption of which is entrusted by law to the police commissioner as the provincial public security authority.

In the first four months of the year, the police commissioner adopted 14 “urban Daspo” for the entire provincial territory, also thanks to the collaboration with the Carabinieri, with an exponential increase compared to previous years thanks to the greater possibilities offered by the sector regulations: ten0 concern the ban on access and parking at public establishments in the Municipality of Lucca, two at public establishments in Viareggio and two at a nightclub in Marina di Pietrasanta.

With the latest one adopted in chronological order, on 30 April against a 24-year-old North African citizen, responsible for crimes against property and people in two public businesses in Viale Regina Margherita in Lucca, the police commissioner prohibited access and parking at all public businesses not only on the avenue but in the entire railway station area.

With reference to the Daspo, two measures have recently been adopted which prohibit access to sports facilities throughout the national territory to as many individuals: the first, on the proposal of the Carabinieri of Pietrasanta, because during a youth football match he had slapped a young footballer of the opposing team, who had had an argument with his son during the match; the second to a young ultras from Carrarese, who last April 21 hit a policeman with a stone and threw smoke bombs at the police.
