The Tradizione Futuro association continues its series of meetings “Informazione Salerno” with a conference dedicated to urban planning. The event, scheduled for May 11th at the Salone del Bar Moka, is entitled “Reversing speculation. Urban planning changes course: comparing ideas for urban regeneration”.
The objective of the meeting
“The topic of urban planning is decisive for the future of any city and, in particular, for Salerno which, in its physical space, seems to be undergoing an anachronistic idea of development”, say the promoters of the conference. The meeting, which follows the one on the economy held last February, is intended to be an opportunity to reflect on how to rethink urban planning in Salerno, counteracting speculation and promoting urban regeneration.
The participants
The conference will feature speakers with great experience in the fields of architecture, public administration and law:
- Rosario Pedutospokesperson for the Tradizione Futuro Association, will introduce the proceedings.
- Alberto Cuomoprofessor emeritus of Architectural Design at the University of Naples Federico II, will talk about the role of architecture in urban regeneration.
- Fausto Martinoformer Councilor for Urban Planning of the Municipality of Salerno and Superintendent of the metropolitan city of Cagliari and the provinces of Oristano and Southern Sardinia, will bring his contribution to urban planning.
- Marcello Feolaadministrative lawyer and university professor, will offer an analysis of the legal issues related to urban planning.
- Josi Gerardo Della RagioneMayor of Bacoli, will share the experience of his municipality in the approval of the Municipal Urban Plan.
The conference will be moderated by Andrea Pellegrinodirector of L’Ora.
