POZZUOLI – The wave of occupations of public housing in Pozzuoli does not abate. After what happened in December in the “Moroccan district” in Via Napoli and in recent months in Toiano, where a multiple criminal affiliated to the clan occupied a house inside the “tanks”, yet another episode took place in Monterusciello, an area lot 2. Here three women – who already have another job behind them – in recent days broke into the entrance door of a house on the first floor of a building and occupied it. The action – most likely supported by some “signalers” present in the park – was implemented after the legitimate assignees (father, mother and daughter) had left to head out of the region. Upon their return from Lombardy, where they had gone to receive medical treatment, the three found it occupied illegally by two women and a young girl who, after forcing the lock, entered the apartment.
THE EMPLOYMENT – The women, in addition to the house, took possession of all the objects belonging to the family who have been forced to sleep outside the home for over two weeks. After the complaint was filed with the police, the process has begun that will lead the municipality of Pozzuoli – within 30 days – to issue a specific eviction order. The squatters were identified on the spot by the police the same evening as the occupation.
THE VICINITY – A nightmare into which the Puteolani family has fallen, who have lived in Monterusciello for over 25 years and who this morning received the support and solidarity of the Green Europe deputy Francesco Borrelli and the councilor of the municipality of Pozzuoli Titti Zazzaro, who went to to the occupied dwelling. «We have already requested intervention for the eviction both from the municipality and from the prosecutor’s office given that a regular complaint has been filed. How can some people afford to occupy other people’s homes while leaving their legitimate assignees to sleep on the streets? – explained Borrelli and Zazzaro – Anyone who needs a place to live must turn to institutions, social services, and ask to be assigned a house and not commit an offense or abuse.
