In Cosenza, the Carabinieri of the Cosenza Centro station arrested a 64-year-old local man, known to the Police Force, in flagrante delicto for attempted extortion. In this regard, we inform you, in respect of the rights of the suspect (to be considered presumed innocent in consideration of the current phase of the proceedings until a definitive finding of guilt with an irrevocable sentence), in order to guarantee the constitutionally guaranteed right of reporting that the operating soldiers, during the prepared territory control service, promptly intervened inside a construction site, ascertaining that, shortly before, he had reiterated a request for an extortionate bribe. The arrest was validated by the GIP at the Court of Cosenza, placing him under house arrest at his home.
