Casoria: a mural for legality dedicated to Giancarlo Siani

Casoria

The city of Casoria is ready to unveil its mural of Legality. The impressive work, signed by the international artist Jorit and dedicated to Giancarlo Siania journalist killed by the Camorra in 1985, will be inaugurated on Monday 6 May at 10.30 am.

On this occasion, in addition to the façade which immortalizes the face of the reporter who was the victim of the criminal ambush, the second part of the work will also be revealed, which will represent a unicum in Jorit’s repertoire. Paolo Siani, Giancarlo’s brother and ideal witness to his relative’s message of fighting crime, will be present at the ceremony: last November, during a public meeting, the mayor spoke to him Raffaele Bene and the councillor Roberta Giova they promised the creation of the mural.

Under the work there will also be space to read, by scanning a QR code, all the articles written by Giancarlo Siani, as a thread of a journey that has reached the new generations and that no criminal hand will be able to break.

After the inauguration of the mural, which will take place in the space in front of the PalaCasoria “Domenico D’Alise”, around 300 students will find space inside the building to ask questions to Paolo Siani and Jorit.

“We wanted to leave the face of Giancarlo Siani forever imprinted in Casoria just as we want his message of legality and the fight against crime to be imprinted on our young people after this confrontation” Mayor Bene and the councilor highlighted in a note Giova.

The program of the day
