Following the opening of new activities of administration, the ‘Scope plan’ for the arrangement of the terraces in Piazza Bresca and Piazza Sardithe so-called ‘Movida’ area of ​​Sanremo.

In the municipality reportin fact, is highlighted as “The free public spaces have been occupied by the same activities in an irregular and disorderly manner, creating a negative effect on the image of the city and not guaranteeing adequate usability of the common spaces”.

The revised plan includes a new distribution of areas to use with outdoor area and at the same time guaranteeing pedestrian flow, the transit of authorized and emergency vehicles, and the use of spaces equipped with street furniture by citizens. In fact, in recent months, many residents they had complained the loud noise and night music but also the passage problems due to the enlargement of the terraces.

In the map that we publish: in yellow the maximum size for the installation of partially closed and closed dehors is shown; in green the maximum size for the installation of open dehors while theorange highlights the additional spaces available and the relevant areas, assigned by the plan to the activities currently without the supply requirement and which may be granted for the installation of dehors (if requested) to neighboring activities with the supply requirement or falling within article 8 of the dehors regulation, without any consent from the activity to which the plan assigns them.

In the ‘Scope plan’ it is expressly underlined that occupations must not get in the way pedestrian and vehicular transit and that the minimum passage spaces identified in the plan must always be guaranteed. At least 2 meters for pedestrian passage and 3.50 for the circulation of emergency vehicles and authorized vehicles.

The occupations must not create an obstacle accesses to other activities and condominiums and, if they impede the passage or maneuvering of emergency vehicles, they must be immediately removed. The furnishings and materials must comply with the regulations for the creation of dehors. In exceptionaccording to the methods established by the regulation for the creation of dehors, innovative solutions may be presented, specifically designed with an innovative character in terms of shape, dimensions, terms of technologies used and materials of high environmental quality and correct insertion into the urban context of settlement.

They are not allowed delimitations with mobile bulkheads and flourishes with bulkhead function, the installation of platforms on stone or quality flooring, retractable awnings installed on the facade of the dehors in the structure. It is explicitly stated in the regulation the use of street furniture is prohibited as a complement to the outdoor area. In this case the residents had in fact complained about the use of public benches. It is also forbidden to tamper with public green areas. The redevelopment of the squares will lead to a reorganization of the concessions in compliance with the regulation.
