contribute to improving the quality of life of the city of Trieste, and to providing opportunities for sport and
leisure for its citizens – is the comment of the mayor of Trieste Roberto Dipiazza, who spoke
at the start of the event – My thanks go in particular to the CRTrieste Foundation for
having renewed its support for the initiative and the volunteers of Apd Miramar and Asd Trieste Atletica Aps

Porto Vecchio-Porto Vivo, recently returned to the city. “Sticking on the subject of young people, we are

they are our future and which we must all commit to preserving together. Now a
intense weekend, with many competitions of different nature, which together make up an event in

4-5 MAY, THE WEEKEND INITIATIVES AND THE COMPETITIONS A discipline in constant development and which
in recent years, also in Friuli-Venezia Giulia thanks to the commitment of the Asd Trieste Atletica Aps,
has achieved important results in terms of popularity and increase in practitioners. We are
speaking of Nordic Walking, the discipline known, in some cases even erroneously, as
“walking with the use of poles” but which has countless identities and above all
it can be described as a sport open to everyone. “As a Nordic yellow and blue team
walking – explains the manager of the Nordic walking sector of the Asd Trieste Atletica Aps Bruno
“Bobo Vittori – we will use these two days, Friday 3 and Saturday 4 May, to tell the story
our activity, to arouse the curiosity of passers-by about the various variations of Nordic walking and to give them a try, in
first person, discipline people with a series of workouts. Our first goal, which
we always repeat even in words, is to immediately dispel some clichés: on the one hand Nordic
walking is not a sport for the elderly and on the other hand it is not practicable only by athletes or anyone else
comes from athletics. Nordic walking is an extremely inclusive discipline and I invite all clubs
sportswomen interested in coming especially on Saturday 4 May in Piazza Unità d’Italia from 3.00pm to 4.30pm
