Final day on Tuesday 7 May at 9.30 am at the Villa del Torchio Of Fourth of the project “Fourth.Traditions of peasant culture” which involved ten Quartese institutions and ten Third Sector associations coordinated by Municipality of Quarto in the creation of a highly educational initiative aimed at promoting the cultural dialogue and knowledge of the area.
The project he involved 1000 pupils between 6 and 18 years old of various Quartese schools lasted six months during which guided tours, history, art and science workshops were carried out starting from the idea of educating in multidisciplinarity and valorise the local resources as an opportunity for enrichment and creativity.
On the last day there will be the participation of a delegation of 120 students Fourth who will celebrate together with the mayor of Fourth Antonio Sabino and to the culture councilor Raffaella De Vivoschool managers, teachers and associations.
The guided tours will be curated by the archaeologist Raffaella Iovine, the educational recreational activities of history, art and science will be curated by Sonia Gervasio, Silvia Prato, Francesca Rusciano, Federica Russolillo. The day will end with the Mayor’s award ceremony Fourth Antonio Sabino to the schools that joined the project, with the presentation of the volume of Raffaella Iovine “The archaeological excavations of the Villa with the Fescina necropolis”, and with an entertainment show including music, ancient games and songs.
The “Traditions of peasant culture” event organized by the municipality of Fourth it was curated by the councilor for culture Raffaella De Vivo. The long program included tours of the city’s archaeological heritage, artistic and volcanology workshops with great attention to the products of the volcanic land Of Fourth: annurca apple, grape and cherry. A total of sixteen days from October 2023 to May 2024 with the last meeting to be held at the Villa del Torchioone of the 26 sites of the Campi Flegrei archaeological park directed by Fabio Pagano.
The event financed by POC Campania 2014-2020 has the collaboration of the Associations: Archaeological Group of Phlegraean FieldsLunaria Onlus A2, Literary Village, Art in the Phlegraean Fields, Strength of Ideas, Feline Oasis, of Proloco SPQR IV e Fourth Flegreo Santa Maria, of the Regina Pacis Cooperative and of the Children of the Casa Raoul Project.
