The Gela Rotary Club celebrated Labor Day in an atmosphere of solidarity and appreciation for social and environmental commitment.
On May 1st, the Club members went to the Waldensian Service Christian Institute in Riesi for a day of sharing and gratitude.
During the meeting, the members had the opportunity to immerse themselves in the welcoming atmosphere and discover the love for the environment and for others that characterizes the institution.
In particular, they were able to appreciate the various work activities of the schools of the social and health services of the Casa per Ferie, thus demonstrating the value of work as a tool for growth and social integration.
One of the most appreciated moments was the tasting of the renowned Taschetta wine, an experience that allowed those present to taste the flavors of the area and appreciate the quality of local products. Furthermore, it was possible to taste the organic and game products in a pleasant lunch, thus enriching the moment of conviviality and sharing.
The President of the Gela Rotary Club Silvio Scichilone wanted to thank the Director of the Structure for the kindness shown and the Member Gaetano Iavolella for their commitment in organizing, together with the Club management, this unforgettable day, which contributed to strengthening the bonds between the Club and the local community.
The event represented an important opportunity to reiterate the Gela Rotary Club’s commitment to promoting values of solidarity, inclusion and social responsibility, and to celebrate work as the foundation of a more equitable and supportive society.
