Exhibition dedicated to the 130th anniversary of the birth of the painter Eso Peluzzi, a native of Cairo Montenotte who died in Monchiero (Cn) and who for decades lived at the Sanctuary of Savona, making this location and the humble residents there (elderly, orphans) the subject of many important paintings from the 1920s and 1930s.

Together with Peluzzi’s works (and the extraordinary possibility of being able to visit the Peluzzi Room located in the Sanctuary Museum) you will be able to admire around thirty works by his artist friends, with whom he shared moments of true friendship and others of sharing great exhibitions (from the Venice Biennials to the Rome Quadrennials).

Peluzzi he was named Academician of San Luca in Rome and honorary citizen of Savona since 1971. This exhibition, born from an idea of ​​Dr.a Silvia Bottaro, art historian and president of the Savona non-profit “R.Aiolfi” Association, given its cultural value it has obtained the patronage of many Municipalities (as can be seen from the attached poster), of the Liguria Region and of “Savona 2027 Candidate Capital of Culture”. The inauguration will take place on May 10, 2024, at 4.00 pm at the exhibition venue of the Palazzo delle Azzarie (gc) at the Sanctuary of Savona, the Associationion Aiolfi will then offer a toast to those present.
