CAMPOTIZZORO – Who will be the biggest liar in the Pistoia mountains in 2024? To find out, you just have to wait until Sunday 5 May when the selection of the mountain area for the Italian Lie Championship will be held in the hall of the Mo.To.RE Consortium of Campotizzoro, starting from 4pm. In practice, we will replicate, in a small way, what has been happening for years every first Sunday in August on the Piastre stage.
This time the competitors come from the Pistoia mountains and represent the active part of the district. The winner will obtain the right to participate in the 46th Italian Lying Championship on August 4th. At the moment the Accademia della Bia has received 10 registrations but some associations have asked for additional time to prepare their story.
The deadline to register has therefore been postponed to Sunday morning. The members come from civil society across the board. For example, there will be the
young representatives who come from the Taufi (farmhouse in the village of Melo), the heirs of the poet Beatrice of Pian degli Ontani, the activists of Bardalone, the couple of entertainers from the village of Cassarese, the delegates of Sambuca Pistoiese of the Campeda Futura group and those of the Pro Loco of Prataccio.
Others, however, are organizing themselves to be present. “We are really satisfied – say Mauro and Emanuele Begliomini, Dean and Magnificent Rector of the Academy
of the Lie – of this second edition. The selection will be held within the festival of the Pistoia Mountain Associations: we therefore thank the Ecomuseum for hosting us and for the collaboration it has provided us”.
The winner, in addition to the opportunity to participate in the 48th Italian Lie Championship, will win the scepter of the most liar in the Pistoia mountains, created by the well-known mushroom grower, Emiliano Buttaroni.
