VITTORIO VENETO – “The May 5, 2024, starting at 3 pm in Piazza del Popolo in Vittorio Veneto the assembly of humanity that resists is convened, for an immediate ceasefire in all war scenarios, for a stop to the manufacturing of weapons and for support for deserters and objectors of any army armed, for the affirmation of equality, against every form of fascism and apatheid, to affirm a necessary and revolutionary relationship with mother earth and between human beings. For freedom of movement, welcome and participation”.
He announces it Maria Chiara Marangon, president of the Anpi of Vittorio Veneto. “The initiative will start with a press conference through which we will present the idea of a popular assembly, the initiatives that will take shape in the square and we will present all the participations, even those that will not have had space in the manifesto – declares Marangon again -. The event will consist, within the square, of various thematic spaces where associations, groups, parties, unions and NGOs who wish to participate will be able to display their materials and present the actions they carry out. Some theatrical or singing performances will take place.”
The central event, which will begin around 5pm, will be the assemblywhich will make use of a body of facilitators and will have the intent to describe “a geography of human resistance, local, national and international, to the barbarity we find ourselves facing, to think about the possible common paths and actions of solidarity that each can undertake towards other realities”.
