CREMONA – Presented as a national preview in Recanati, in two live concerts, the songs of the 18 finalist artists of Musicultura 2024 live on Rai Radio 1 and live streaming on Rainews.it, with the participation of Simona Molinari and the poet Guido Catalano. After a detailed selection starting from the 1,187 participants in the Competition, six Lombard artists I am entered the shortlist of 18 finalists and in Recanati they presented and told their songs to the microphones of John Vignola, Duccio Pasqua and Marcella Sullo of Rai Radio 1.
From Milan, Nyco Ferrari, originally from Crema, performed with the song “Sono done like this”. «A song born on the rocks by the sea where for the first time I tell myself, the sound of the waves suggested the first verse to me, words and music together. – Ferrari said – Giving her a title was easy, because that’s really who I am.”
From Cremona Alec Temple, pseudonym of Alexander Zavolioffered his “Ashes”: «It’s a song that I didn’t ask for, but that came after seeing two eyes filled with a brutal and inevitable pain: that of mourning. I wanted an essential, bare-bones production that left room for the desperate cry of loss».
“Venezia di sera” is the nostalgic love song of Sandro Barosi, singer-songwriter of Cremona «I wrote it at the suggestion of a publisher, a love song to ensure that my story also became someone else’s story, I took the advice and the song was born».
In May the finalist songs of Musicultura 2024 enter the daily playlist of Rai Radio1, in addition to the insights curated by John Vignola in his program “La nota del giorno”. THE finalist songs will make up the CD compilation of the XXXV edition of the Festival. It will be the screening of the prestigious Artistic Committee of Guarantee of Musicultura that will designate among the 18 finalists the eight winners. In this edition the Committee is made up of Francesco Amato, Francesca Archibugi, Enzo Avitabile, Claudio Baglioni, Diego Bianchi, Francesco Bianconi, Maria Grazia Calandrone, Luca Carboni, Guido Catalano, Ennio Cavalli, Carmen Consoli, Simone Cristicchi, Gaetano Curreri, Dardust, Teresa De Sio, Giorgia, Mariangela Gualtieri , La Representative di Lista, Dacia Maraini, Ermal Meta, Mariella Nava, Piero Pelù, Vasco Rossi, Ron, Enrico Ruggeri, Tosca, Paola Turci, Roberto Vecchioni and Sandro Veronesi.
The eight winners Of Musicultura 2024 will perform, with prestigious Italian and international guests, in the final evenings of the Festival June 21st and 22nd at the Sferisterio of Macerata. There the public vote will elect the overall winner of the Competitionto which the Banca Macerata Award Of 20,000 euros.
