All facets of pop culture once again come to life in the pavilions of CarraraFiere: comics, video games, board games, bricks, live performances and meetings with the most popular guests. From the very famous voices of the animated theme songs Cristina D’Avena and Giorgio Vanni to the protagonists of the dubbing world Monica Ward (Lisa Simpson), Gianluca Iacono and Emanuela Pacotto (Vegeta and Bulma respectively in Dragon Ball). And then again Hide the Pain Harold, a meme-man known throughout the world and the great Anna Mazzamauro, the very famous Miss Silvani in all Fantozzi’s films. And for the first time the DJ set of “I want to go back to the 90s” a musical offering that promises to take visitors back in time through the most representative sounds of the decade. Gamics it is an event full of events and initiatives not to be missed, suitable for everyone: children, teenagers and adults of all ages.
Everything is ready for the third edition of Gamics: after the extraordinary success of 2023 (over 23 thousand attendances) CarraraFiere is once again preparing to welcome the great fun-filled party, organized by the Blue Raincoat srl company. Two days of comics and games, live shows and “nerd” themed shopping, with an exhibition offer that grows in quality and quantity. The number of stands is increasing, to the delight of all visitors who want to go in search of the best American manga and comics, action figures and the most coveted gadgets. The arcade area offers 100 arcade machines directly from the 1980s to relive the emotions of the old arcades and rediscover the classic video games, finally without tokens and in “free to play” mode. Those who love video games from yesterday and today will be able to explore the home gaming world at 360 degrees, from classic consoles such as the Atari and Nintendo Nes to the most recent titles, VR and driving simulators: hundreds of interactive stations, tournaments and free play, classically inspired local multiplayer titles and games much loved by younger people such as Fortnite and Call of Duty. Gamics welcomes initiatives ranging from digital to analogue gaming, and so the over 20 thousand square meters of exhibition space are divided between the videogame screens and board games, the areas dedicated to modeling and the monumental and incredible constructions made of bricks: right in the sector dedicated to bricks, in addition to admiring the masterpieces of the greatest Italian artists, parents and children will be able to have fun with the free access workshops, spending a day dedicated to intergenerational play par excellence.
This year the area dedicated to board games triples in size with 150 tables continuously animated by tournaments, demonstrations, role-playing games and board games sessions, in collaboration with the most important associations in the area: Associazione Ludica Apuana – ALA, ALEA, Gidierre.net, The goblin’s lair and the Gamic Massa shop. Gamics Carrara is transformed into a gigantic toy library where gaming professionals can try their hand at official tournaments and simple enthusiasts can discover the most entertaining board games and role-playing games. And still on the subject of creativity, in the artist alley it will be possible to meet the designers of the most important publishing houses, to then ask them for a sketch and admire them at work in the workshop area. With its rich program of performances and live shows, Gamics also promises hours of entertainment and entertainment: on Saturday the concert of Cristina D’Avena, interpreter of famous theme songs such as Kiss Me Licia, Occhi di Gatto and many others; before her on stage the man who became a meme by chance, Andràs Aratoformer Hungarian engineer whose image spread on the internet has made him one of the most famous faces in the world, also known as “Hide The Pain Harold”, who will be present both days. For the first time ever, a truly unique event: on the Gamics stage “Ward Lab”, the dubbing and acting workshop with the voice actors Monica Ward and Andrea Ward, the showgirl Laura di Mauro and the sound director Luigi Nozza. Two hours a day dedicated to the use of the voice, from the expression of emotion to acting; a truly immersive experience to discover the secrets of this art, under the guidance of the most authoritative and expert professionals in the sector. In addition, on the cosplay stage, fans will be able to meet Dario Moccia, the well-known Italian twitcher and streamer loved by millions of followers. And subsequently Leonardo Grazianovoice actor of Sheldon in The Big Bang Theory, will interview his colleague Renato Novara (voice of Sonic and Rubber in One Piece), during its original format “On the Couch with Sheldon”. On Sunday it will be the turn of the great movie star Anna Mazzamauro, the beloved Miss Silvani in all Fantozzi’s films, who will give the public a taste of her talent and innate friendliness. The great voice actors Gianluca Iacono and Emanuela Pacotto (the voices of Vegeta and Bulma from Dragon Ball respectively), and then the performance of the King of animated theme songs Giorgio Vanni, for the first time at Gamics with his band The Sons of Goku, who will offer loyal fans an even richer and more engaging experience. Finally the DJ set “I want to go back to the nineties” with music, confetti, streamers and soap bubbles floating in the air, and then more engaging animation, the mascots and the laser show that will make the atmosphere even more electrifying. A unique opportunity to experience and celebrate the music, fashion and culture of an era that marked entire generations. To color and make the event unique, the hundreds of cosplayers who will participate in the competitions on both days C’mon Cosplay, parading on stage dressed as characters from films, TV series and cartoons, imitating their gestures and reproducing the most famous dialogues and scenes. An original way to share the passion for the imaginary worlds of comics, cartoons and sci-fi cinema, and contribute to the spectacle of an event that is truly aimed at everyone, from families to children and lovers of games and comics.
