I work for participation and democracy.
May 7, 2024
Market Square, Brindisi
5.30pm
Like every year, the Policoro Project and the Social Pastoral Office of the Archdiocese of Brindisi-Ostuni intend to celebrate Labor Day with an afternoon of information, prayer and reflection, entitled
Work for participation and democracy
at Piazza Mercato in Brindisi
starting from 5.30 pm
The meeting, which will be chaired by our Archbishop HE Rev. Mons. Giovanni Intini, is part of the path desired by the Apulian Episcopal Conference in preparation for the 50th Social Week of Catholics in Italy (3-7 July 2024), and will involve the delegates of the Dioceses of the Metropolis of Lecce.
They will speak:
HE Rev. Monsignor Giuseppe Mengoli, Bishop of San Severo and Delegate for Social Pastoral of the Apulian Episcopal Conference;
HE Rev. Monsignor Luigi Renna, Metropolitan Archbishop of Catania, President of the Episcopal Commission for Social Problems and Work of the CEI;
Cav. of Labor Stefania Brancaccio, vice-president of Coelmo spa and National Secretary of UCID (Christian Union of Managers).
The journalist Mimmo Consales moderates the discussion, while the entertainment is entrusted to the Brindisi association RuahArt Artistic Worship.
The place chosen is the Piazza Mercato of Brindisi, the historic beating heart of city life, which unites the three themes at the center of the reflection.
Entrance is free and open to all.
