TIM and Oracle sign a strategic partnership to accelerate cloud diffusion in Italy

TIM And Oracle they announced a strategic collaboration with the aim of responding to the growing demand for cloud services by businesses and the Public Administration. Within the framework of the agreement, TIM Enterprise will integrate i Oracle Cloud Infrastructure services (OCI), becoming a partner of second Italian Oracle Cloud Region in Turin which will be hosted in the TIM Group’s new generation and highly reliable Data Center.

As part of Oracle’s distributed cloud strategy, there future Cloud Region will provide to companies and the Public Administration access to a wide range of cloud services to migrate all types of workloads from their data centers to OCI, modernize their applications and innovate with data, analytics and artificial intelligence (AI).

Through the current Cloud Region of Milan (already active since 2021) and with the opening of the second Cloud Region in ItalyOracle will enable customers to improve continuity operational, replicating their workloads across distributed locations while helping them meet compliance and digital sovereignty requirements by keeping data in Italy. This new Cloud Region will be located in one of the 16 TIM Enterprise Data Centersdeveloped according to the highest technological, safety and environmental standards.

Italian organizations of all sizes and sectors to accelerate the adoption of AI and other innovative technologies”.

As part of the collaboration, TIM will also use Oracle Cloud Infrastructure to migrate some of the Group’s internal applications to the cloud.
