Pistoia – Tina Montinaro meets Pistoia students – News

02/05/2024

May 23, 1992 will be a date that will forever link the first life of Tina Montinaro, widow of Antonio, escort leader of the anti-mafia magistrate Giovanni Falcone who was killed in the Capaci massacre.

A crossroads that has led Tina to be a witness for the last 32 years of that pain that struck her that day, remembering her husband and all the victims who suffered losses or violence at the hands of the mafia.

A commitment that accompanies Montinaro throughout Italy, where for years she has met people and talks about Antonio’s work, that choice that took him away on May 23rd but above all the strength to move forward, not lowering one’s head in the face of crime and instilling the courage of a woman who defines herself as free.

Tina also did all this in Pistoia with two meetings first in the Sala Maggiore with the students of Collodi, Marino Marini, Marconi-Frosini, Martin Luther King, Raffaello and Leonardo and then at the Einaudi Institute with the high school students, where she also presented his book “You didn’t do anything to us”.

The event was made possible thanks to the Municipality of Pistoia, the Student Council, the National Magistrates Association, Quarto Savona Diecici, LDB, the Tuscany Region, the Province of Pistoia, with the support of the Caript Foundation, Vannucci Piante, Conad, Mister Wizard and Risk and Compliance.
