The event has now consolidated absolutely unique participation numbers, so much so that it requires the support of Casino Theatre to host some of the 400 choreographies. The number of dancers was considerable, exceeding 1500 units and 85 schools, coming from almost all Italian regions, from France, Brazil, Corsica and Malta.
The competition has almost come of age, an event that stands on its own two feet, moved by dancers who create energy, movement, dance and life on stage. “I had the pleasure and honor of seeing the competition grow which this year reached its apotheosis in numbers and quality. At the Sanremo Dance Festival we like to meet people, build networks and create connections all over the world. As many as 12 international jurors took turns judging the competing choreographies: Cinzia di Cioccio, Luciano Di Natale, Lorella Doni, Davide Iacobone, Agnes Lascombes, André Malosa, Francesca Orlando, Margherita De Pieri, Daniele Rommelli, Simone Stella, Cristina Todi, Sergei Vanaev, X-Five.
